Since childhood, i have been listening that AC has a high electricity consumption rate. And the electricity bill comes high of using it. So i researched small but very important details before choosing AC which helps making choose best AC for your home.
First always choose the right capacity basis on your room size
- Around 120 sq.ft. – 1.2 ton. (one single bed and one wardrobe)
- Around 180 sq.ft. – 1.5 ton. (one double bed and one wardrobe)
- Greater than 180 sq.ft. – 1.8 and above
Second most important point to consider is the energy efficiency or star rating. higher the star rating better electricity saving means less electricity bill. Five star is the highest rating among which minimum three star should be considered higher is better. And inverter are also incorporated so save electricity save earth.
Third is the split or window AC, split is costlier but it would not cover your window so its personal choice. Same as you want smart AC or not, its helpful as you can ON the AC before reaching home or can OFF the AC if you forget from your mobile.
